Iron Butt 615 Mile Road Trip Day One

Hmmm.  A motorcycle road trip?
It stormed (and was still storming to our east
and south when we left to head north.)
Oh, well, what's life without a little adventure?
We rode up to PA Route 6,
and took a detour up to Kinzua,
which isn't as much fun since the old bridge was destroyed.

Then back down to Route 6 toward Wellsboro.
Ah, we took one more little unintentional detour
after apparently missing a turn in Coudersport.
We weren't lost, mind you--
we just didn't know where we were
or how to get where we were going . . .
We had breakfast day two in this original 1938 diner.
Fun.

Sounds like fun. Before gas was $4.00 gallon, Steve and I would take road trips and just drive. We had no clue which way we would go, where we would end up. One trip we ended up going to Kinzoo, Wellsboro, all throough Tioga and Potter County to Emporium, Benezette, we spent about 2 days just riding, it was so much fun! Mandy

FYI - You can practically see the house I grew up in from Kinzua Dam (ok..not really but it IS close), and almost all of my Dad's family lives in Wellsboro. It's a beautiful drive isn't it? Warren's not a bad little town either. I wish I had known you were going; I could have recommended some touristy-type activities for you. Hope you had fun!!!

Tif ~ We like Wellsboro--very relaxing and pretty. I will ask you before we head that direction again; the locals always have the best info!
