Duck Walk
The river was high today, but had already reached its peak by 8 am, when this photo was taken.
Funny to see ducks where the people steps are. BTW, Morgan and I saw a baby domestic duck years ago along the trail in Manorville. We were worried about it, because the wild ducks wouldn't let it eat. I wonder if this is the same white duck? How long do ducks live, anyway?

On that last photo:
That white duck has to be the ONLY ONE thinking, "ALLRIGHT! More water!"
LOL!

Ha-ha! You always have an original (and humorous)take on things. Made me laugh.
How long do they live? It depends on whether they are flying or sitting. A sitting duck, I am told, is in a very dangerous position.
Now, we are dealing with walking and swimming ducks, it seems. This must increase the odds of survival.
Now, the aflac duck is also a white duck. It is a very tough duck, having been hit on the head in many ways, and been through many troubles.
As for natural length of life, unless they smoke cigarettes, is 20 years. Roughly 14 years longer than a muscrat, by the way.
Are you serious? You made that up. 20 years?? Sigh. Now I'm going to have to look it up myself . . . .
You didn't make that up! According to liveducks.com: "It's a fact that a wild duck can live 20 years or more. The world record is a Mallard Drake that lived to a ripe old age of 27 years. Domestic ducks typically live 10-15 years in captivity. Those same domestic ducks you see in your local ponds and lakes - abandoned by their owners to fend for themselves-- typically survive less than three years. Bread, crackers and 'people foods' are devastating for all ducks."
Amazing.
(AWESOME sermon today, BTW. Preach it, Brother!!!)
