Chemo Day--So Far, So Good!

New chemo tx today, and I feel good. No nausea, yet; not even a little, and it is now 10:20 pm. I worked at home all afternoon and evening (mostly work work, but some home work and a little church stuff, too). I'm sure I can credit the steroids for that :).

So many people are praying for me, and so many particularly for today. THANK YOU. I know you are the reason that I am doing as well as I am.

I was reading Colossians this week, and this scripture was in neon (don't you love when that happens?)--Paul gives instructions for several people at the end of Chapter 4. In verse 17, he exhorts Archippus
, "And say to Archippus [read Mindy], 'See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.'" This journey is a ministry to me, and you--my faithful pray-ers--are the ones enabling me to be a witness to others. It is my heart's desire to honor God through every part of this journey, and it is only because of Him and your prayers that I have accomplished anything, as inadequate as I feel it to be.

Wonderful, well-meaning people encourage me to "be strong," "have faith," and "fight the battle." I don't know how. I am strong only in the Lord, any faith I have is in his Word alone, and the battle is His. The only thing I can do is to be obedient; to fulfull the ministry I have received. This I do only through His grace and mercy, and the support and prayers of His body. Each of you has as much a part in this ministry as do I, so I exhort you as well, and thank you with all my heart.
