I got to see my good Christian friend Chris, who works at the cancer center, and to talk to my friend Joanne (in tha black hat) who has been battling breast cancer for 8 years. Please add Joanne to your prayer list, as 2007 has not been a good year for her so far. She hasn't been able to get treated because of her blood counts are too low. Joanne has always been an encouragement to everyone around her, and now could use a little encouragement herself.
My afternoon and evening, however, did not go so well. I started to feel queasy in the pm, so I took my (very expensive) anti-nausea medication, and proceeded to get much sicker. I took another anti-nausea med (I'm allowed to take more than one at time), but I think it was too late, and I was really ill last evening. My wonderful oncologist, Dr. BuchBarker, called me back and suggested that I not take the expensive med again (a possible side-effect is nausea--go figure), and to take the other one. By 2 am I was feeling somewhat better, and I am at work today, albeit a little queasy.
I went back to the cancer center today to receive my Neulasta shot, which will "whip my white blood cells into producing" so I have less change of getting infections. I'm told it will make my bones feel like they are being whipped, so I would appreciate prayer for that, as well.
I thank God every day for family and friends who care enough to pray, and for a Savior who understands. My husband is a wonderful concerned nurse and helper, and Morgan is such a comfort. Thank you, Lord, for all these blessings.

Thinking about you today. You've got lots of prayers comin' your way from me as well. You are amazing! (and I'm not the only one who thinks so...)
Mindy I am definitely praying for you and your family! The Great Comforter is with you and He is much bigger than your cancer! Love you!!
Mindy, thank you for taking the time to chronicle this day. It not only creates motivation to pray in me, but it also helps me to sympathize with not just you but the many people I have known who have suffered through the same treatments.
Of course, I wish, as do you, that the trouble was no more, and of course will pray to that end.

Hey Mindy,
Been thinking about you a lot and wondering how your day went Monday. I really appreciate your web page. It is so awesome. I wish all my friends had them.
Thank you for documenting. It is a great encouragement to me and I appreciate your openness to all of us. I will be praying for you and your friend.
