Praise God for good test results from Tuesday's bone scan and CT scans! God is so good, and I am so grateful to my husband and daughter, family, church, and friends for fervent fasting and prayer. I continue to be blessed and overwhelmed by your love and kindness.
I am scheduled for a segmental mastectomy on February 15th. They will also be removing the lymph nodes from my armpit--yippee. The pit part will probably be the worst; I will have a yucky drain for a while. After the surgery and pathology reports, we will discuss my tx.
I will be off work for a few weeks (that's what they think! Okay, I'll stay home, but I have a laptop and will be working. I love and need my work.) I will also be watching DVD's and reading books, a luxury I hardly ever have. I will post a wish list of DVD's I would like, and would appreciate any recommendations of fun movies you have enjoyed.
My niece Mandy bought a new pair of shoes for walking on her treadmill . . .
What a sweetie she is.
I love you all. Keep praying! "The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much" [James 5:16]. Your love and prayers have already done more for me than I could ever express. Thank you.

New Balance shoes rock! And I adore those little pink bows! Praising the Lord for your test results! He who is within you is the GREAT I AM!
Mindy. I am so happy for you! I still get chills thinking of how when we were in prayer, the vision to me of your cancer being destroyed, exploding , and then the warmth that came. Then shortly after others saying how warm it was. I am just so amazed at the signs my God sends to me. I never had anything but a good feeling about your cancer and the outcome. Living without a breast or even two is something that I would welcome in the event I get the disease.. Prayers again are answered - God is amazing.
PS. I forgot to say that I also have a pair of the American Cancer Society New Balance shoes that I wear every day. I think I'll go give them a good cleaning!
Mindy, I'm not sure what went wrong, but I actually sent the message below on Saturday evening before the PS about the tennis shoes. Well hopefully this will work this evening. I was at early service this AM as our family Christmas party was for lunch today. We actually had a "White Christmas" for our party. Sorry I missed you. Hope to connect soon. Love Pam
Mindy, We are all thanking and praising God with you!!! He is so faithful to answer our prayers. We will continue to pray for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. I am very familiar with the oncology dept. at Magees as I have a good friend, Cindy, who has been battling cancer for 12 years and we have made many, many trips to Magee. I would gladly be your driver to a Dr. appt. One of our favorite stops on the way home is Max & Ermas. I would enjoy spending the day with you and I have lots of experience with asking questions and taking notes. (I highly recommend starting a notebook with questions and answers.) Well I have started to ramble......Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and getting/giving you a HUGE HUG!!
