Looove the one with ther rocks! I'd love to run up to the top of the highest rock and stand there. There is a very similar stand of rocks up at Stoney point. (Just across Tionesta Creek behind Kelletsville.) It's one of my favorites places to hike. There is a lot of black bears there, but I have never got to see one. (Maybe that's good! LOL!)

Those rocks are above Bottom Creek Road between Craigsville and Hindman Hill Road. Aren't they cool?

If you're gonna traipse around in bear country, you should take a dog or wear a bell--or, better yet, bell the dog :)

"Traipse". That's gotta be a Western PA word. Like "jagger" or "poke". LOL!

The idea is to SEE a bear. Not run 'em off. :-)

Apparently I am so noisy, they run away before I can ever get close to see one. I am not noted for walking through the woods like an indian. I probably sound like an elephant coming through the forest....knocking down trees, and crunching tree limbs, etc. hehe

LOL. I do say 'traipse' and 'jagger' and 'krik' and 'gum band,' but I don't say 'poke.' Oh, and I say 'pop' instead of 'soda;' used to drive my Philly area college roommate crazy . . . My dad used to say 'babushka' instead of 'scarf.' He also said 'warsh' your hands :)

I'm sure you mosey about the woods on little cat feet--I'm surprised you haven't seen DOZENS of bears.

What!!??!! "Traipse" isn't a real word? I love that word! Phew...I found it: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/traipse

Then again, "like" is a real word, and it makes me sound stupid all the time...*sigh* Yes, I'm blaming it on the word, not on my own inability to code switch. ;)
