18 Days of Christmas for Cats

Burger lost his chapstick within a few minutes of leaving it on the kitchen counter.  When he got a flashlight and looked under the stove, oh my!
Many missing mice.
And the chapstick.
And other stuff.
Morgan got the yardstick and dragged everything
out--with some help from kitties.
Final count--sing along with me--18 mice, 10 bottle caps, 5 dried beans, one little duck, one chapstick, and (not shown) one ball of Gracie dog fur.
The kitties deny everything . . . as usual.

I saw deer

in our field on my way home from work today.
The first photo is from the road.
(It was getting pretty dark--I had to lighten the exposure a good bit.)
This second photo is from the top of the hill--I tried (unsuccessfully) to sneak up on them--there were actually two . . . see their pretty white tails?

16 December 2008

On the way home from Oglebay . . .

we stopped at an ATV store,
and Cabela's.
What can I say?
I get bored.

Oglebay Winter Festival of Lights

We stayed at Wilson Lodge at Oglebay.
Very nice.
PURPLE poinsettias?
The Oglebay Family mansion.
Burger & poinsettias.
The lights were fun;
we rode through twice.
The 12 Days of Christmas.
One of my favorites.
Charlie Brown & the gang.
Church.
Chinese dragon--he breathed "fire."
The Garden of Lights walking tour.
House.
Nativity.
Another tunnel of lights.
On the lake.
We could see these from the dining room.
Blue . . . ?

Lonely road

at night in the dark and the snow.

07 December 2008

This is what happens . . .

. . . when I get bored waiting
for my husband in Walmart.
Hehe.
